When selecting body armor for different parts of the world:
It is important to consider the specific threats that officers and personnel may face in those regions.
Officers working in areas with high rates of gun violence may require body armor with higher ballistic protection levels than those working in areas with lower rates of gun violence.
Officers working in areas with higher rates of explosive devices may require body armor with blast-resistant properties.
Officers working in areas with higher rates of stab/spike threats such as knives, machetes etc. may require body armor protection that provides this protection.
In addition to the threat level encountered, there are different kinds of ammunition encountered and used in different parts of the world per each threat level. In the Third World, there is proliferation of ammunition made in Rusia and Eastern Europe that is very different than ammunition used to test body armor in the West. For example, there is 9mm ammunition that has steel alloy jackets instead of high copper content jackets which poses a challenge for soft body armor which is commonly used in law enforcement. In addition, AP 7.62 x 39 rounds are also common in many regions of the world which require special protection.
It is also important to consider the climate and environmental conditions. Body armor that is suitable for use in hot and humid climates may be different from body armor that is suitable for use in cold and wet climates.
Multiproductos Internacionales, S.A. is one of the first manufacturers of bulletproof vests and garments in Central America to certify ballistic resistant vest models before the NIJ or National Institute of Justice of the United States.
Our mission lies in the production and marketing of body armor products, which satisfy the need to protect the lives of people and canine units.
